About the NIRA
Formed in 1948 at Sul Ross State University. The NIRA sanctions rodeo at 137 colleges and universities across eleven regions, with men's and women's teams competing through the fall and spring seasons for a spot at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming every June.
